​​Recording SecretaryDuties of Recording Secretary include: • Clerical support to Pastors and Deacons in church’s administration offices. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate well with church members and church’s administrative branch. • Answers phone calls in church office. • Reads and responds to emails. • Completes clerical tasks as necessary, including typing, filing, and copying. • Welcome visitors, addresses questions, and assist them with any problem. • Assists in planning church events. • Creates, updates, and helps distribute church event calendar. • Maintain all church records, such as information regarding baptisms, funerals and marriages. • Distributes mail that is delivered to Church office to the proper employees. • Schedules meetings for office employees. • Assists in writing, editing, printing, and distributing the weekly bulletin. • Keeps office clean and orderly. • Maintains the in-office calendar and keeps up-to-date on upcoming meetings and events. • Sends out church mailings

TreasurerNote: The church treasurer works as a trustee board member for the churches finances and attend to general bookkeeping, fundraising, and tax responsibilities. Duties of Treasurer include: • Collects, sorts, and records the amount of tithes each Sunday after service. • Accepts donations on behalf of the church and records the amount with the donors name for tax purposes. • Deposits the funds into the church’s bank account and maintains receipts for records. • Pays employees from church’s accounts. • Maintains tax records of employees’ salaries, donor information, habits and more. • Files the church's taxes with a registered CPA and keeps all records regarding such transitions. • Reconciles church bank statements with the church’s ledger, making note of any discrepancies and bringing them immediately to Church Board, Pastor and Deacons. • Invest large donations to supplement church’s trust. • Tracks investments and delivers quarterly earnings statements to church’s board. • Presents a quarterly statement of church finances to the church members and donors. • Participates in any financial audits. • Prepares tax forms such as W-2 or 1099 for church employees. • Inspires confidence from the congregation and his or her integrity and ability. • Attends meetings with the church executive staff to go over finances and stay aware of upcoming expenses, events, or changes to church’s operations. • Must have strong general competencies with bookkeeping, financial auditing, investing, accounting, and processing. • Must be incredibly organized.

ModeratorDuties of Moderator include: • Chairing church business meetings. • Responsible for knowing the rules of order and is expected to run an efficient meeting, treating attendees in a fair and equitable manner. • This is a two-year commitment. Note: The rules of order is following Roberts Rules of order which sets procedures that facilitate any type of meeting. Even though these standards and outlines may seem long, they provide a basis to make meetings flow easier. The rules maybe adjusted to bring fairness and simplicity to the meeting since churches may have their own set of Bi-laws.

Vice Moderator Duties of Vice Moderator include: • These duties only apply when Moderator is absent and Vice-Moderator presides meeting. • Chairing church business meetings. • Responsible for knowing the rules of order and is expected to run an efficient meeting, treating attendees in a fair and equitable manner. • This is a two-year commitment.
